The MicroLaserPeel®is a form of ablative skin resurfacing. A laser beam is scanned across the treatment area and precisely removes a layer of skin. The body will naturally replace the old, damaged skin with a fresh, healthy layer. Treatments can range from shallow (which might be appropriate for eliminating fine lines, sun spots and tired-looking skin) to deep (which is often used to improve skin tone/texture and eliminate deep wrinkles, even in difficult areas like upper lip lines and crow’s feet).

What is the MicroLaserPeel® or “Weekend Peel”?
MicroLaserPeel® is a minimally invasive superficial resurfacing treatment designed to reduce or eliminate the effects of sun damage and environmental pollutants, wrinkles and pigment irregularities. This is a precisely controlled ablative erbium laser peel that offers greater results than a microdermabrasion or light chemical peel, with only 2-3 days of downtime. If you come for a treatment on a Friday, you can be back to work on Monday. You will notice a difference after only one treatment.
What will happen during the procedure?
Before the treatment we will apply a topical anesthetic cream to the area to be treated. Then your face will be cleaned, and your eyes will be protected with safety shields. The laser handpiece is positioned above the skin and held in place, as the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area.
The comfort level of this procedure varies from patient to patient, depending on the depth of the treatment. For shallow treatments, the procedure is well-tolerated with a topical anesthetic cream.
How long does the treatment take?
A treatment normally takes 30 minutes to 1 hour, although time varies depending on the depth of the peel. The mildest treatment, our Express Peel is done in less than 30 minutes.
How quickly will I see results?
You will notice a significant and visible change in skin texture and smoothness in just a few days.
How many treatments will I need?
You will notice a healthier, more glowing appearance to your skin even after one treatment. Additional procedures may be performed as required, to produce even greater results. A package of three to four treatments may be best for you. We will discuss your particular needs during the consultation.
