Juvéderm® at Summit Medical Group
Juvéderm® is an FDA-approved smooth-gel cosmetic dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body.
Young, healthy skin contains an abundance of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). As we age, time, sunlight and other factors reduce the amount of HA in the skin. The lack of HA causes skin to lose structure and volume – creating unwanted facial wrinkles and folds, like those parentheses around the nose and mouth.
Juvéderm® eases under the skin to restore volume and fullness and to correct facial wrinkles and folds, instantly giving you a smoother, more youthful appearance. So smooth and natural that everyone will notice, but no one will know.
Safely and effectively restore volume and fullness in skin and lips – instantly!
Juvéderm® is ideal for
- Naso-labial folds (bottom of the nose to the corner of the mouth)
- Lip enhancement (plumping of the lips/lip augmentation)
- Lip lines (smoker’s lines/wrinkles around the mouth)
- Volume loss of the face
- Lines that appear between your brows (glabella)
*Some procedures are off-label usages of FDA-approved products.

Frequently Asked Questions about Juvéderm®
What is Juvéderm®?
Juvéderm® is a smooth consistency non-animal derived hyaluronic acid gel that helps restore volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. It comes in two formulations: Juvéderm® Ultra for versatility in contouring and volumizing facial lines and wrinkles, and Juvéderm® Ultra Plus, a more robust formulation for volumizing and correcting deeper folds and wrinkles. This allows us to personalize the treatment to fit your unique needs.
Juvéderm® XC is manufactured using HYLACROSS™ technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel. It is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. With Juvéderm® XC you get the smooth results you expect, with the improved comfort you want.
Because it is not animal-derived, Juvéderm® does not contain any animal proteins, reducing the risk of allergic reaction and animal-based disease transmission. Juvéderm® does not require pre-injection testing for allergies.
How does Juvéderm® work?
