Hyaluronic Acid Gel Fillers
Juvederm®, from Allergan, Inc is a "next generation" smooth gel, non-animal derived hyaluronic acid dermal filler offering a natural look and feel. Juvederm® has the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid on the market and uses a special formulation process, so one treatment can last up to six months or longer. It's FDA approved to last up to one year, which means less visits are needed for maintenance.
Juvederm® comes in two sizes of particles: Juvederm Ultra® for fine lines and wrinkles and Juvederm Ultra Plus® for the deeper lines that need more volume replacement
Restylane®, from Medicis, Inc, is a non-animal derived hyaluronic acid-based filler used worldwide since 1996. It is the world’s best-selling dermal filler. Restylane®works immediately by adding volume to smooth away wrinkles. A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane® is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid.
Restylane®can be used to visibly reduce moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds for a younger-looking you. Restylane® is FDA-approved since 2003 and lasts up to 6 months.
Perlane®, also from Medicis, Inc, is a version of Restylane® that has larger size hyaluronic acid particles that are injected deeper into the skin. Those larger particles are perfect for filling deeper folds and wrinkles and for shaping larger areas such as the chin and cheeks.
Perlane® provides a natural-looking appearance and lasts around 6 months. Like Restylane, it does not contain any animal proteins, reducing the risk of allergic reaction and animal-based disease transmission.
Biostimulatory Fillers
Radiesse® from Merz Pharmaceuticas is a long-lasting dermal filler that consists of tiny calcium hydroxylapatatite (CaHA) particles suspended in a smooth carboxymethylcellulose gel. Once Radiesse® is injected under the skin, it not only smooths wrinkles, but also stimulates the skin's own production of collagen, the protein so essential for youthful-looking skin.
Radiesse® can be injected into the naso-labial folds, cheeks, jawline, brow or nose for recontouring, lifting and adding volume.
Radiesse® is also ideal for improving the signs of aging in the hands
Sculptra® (poly-L-lactic acid) from Sanofi Aventis is a filler that works by stimulating new collagen and underlying tissue growth, resulting in a more youthful, fuller appearance.
Sculptra® is a synthetic, biocompatible material injected below the surface of the skin in the area of fat and soft tissue loss. It provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas and can last 2 years or more due to the stimulation of your own collagen deposition in the areas of injection.
